Wallace Tanksley LLC: A full service alternative dispute resolution service

Domestic Relations/Divorce Mediation

Wally Tanksley is an experienced Mediator who has completed more than 2000 cases since becoming an Alternative Dispute Resolution professional in 1999. He has mediated in court-connected programs in more than thirty Georgia counties and also handles private cases.

Special insights into issues involving family, domestic relations, and divorce evolve from extensive training and experience in issues of child custody/support and visitation. His understanding of children's issues comes from training and experience in Juvenile and deprivation mediation, as well as being a father of three and a grandfather. Many years of counseling employees as a Human Resources Specialist provided an understanding of the stress that accompanies life-changing events.

Extensive business experience with major corporations and government agencies equips Wally to help clients with the financial and business aspects of separation and divorce.

Wally received an undergraduate degree in Arts & Sciences from Clemson University and did three years of graduate work at the University of Georgia in Sociology and Economics. To enhance his skills as a mediator, he earned a related graduate degree, the Master of Science in Conflict Management, from Kennesaw State University in December 2001, and more recently completed the Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers Mediation Workshop and the Advanced Mediation Workshop at Pepperdine University Law School.

Wally brings a multi-disciplined approach to domestic relations mediation. He is very comfortable with interest-based, directive, transformative and problem-solving techniques and is also trained in the Collaborative Law concept. He discusses the various approaches to mediation with his clients, and together they select the most appropriate method for the clients' situation.
